Close your eyes and picture 'the sixties'. Whether you know it or not, the chances are that whatever you are imagining has been influenced by the work of Australian artist Martin Sharp. His posters and album covers for the likes of Bob Dylan, Jimi Henrix, and Cream gave visual expression to that decade's sonic experiments and lyrical revolution.

But perhaps Martin Sharp's most lasting contribution was as art editor of Oz Magazine in which he set about creating a visual compliment to the magazine's taboo busting writings on racism, sexuality, drugs and war. To quote Martin, Oz Magazine stood against "ignorance, intolerance and corruption". 

Although he passed away in 2013, Martin's work lives on in our collective psychedelic consciousness.
