WAH-WAH x LOS SAICOS
Celebrating Peruvian Punk (and knitwear)!!!
Los Saicos are the unsung heroes of proto-punk and we want to give them their rightful place on the knitwear map.
When WAH-WAH and THE ENDERY started chatting in late 2020, we knew a collab was on the cards. Both big music fans, The Endery had long been a fan of WAH-WAH’s epic punk rock inspired knits. Obscure Peruvian proto-punk band Los Saicos felt like an excuse to spread the word about all things Peru: the sounds, fibers and of course, the incredible knitters.
Knit technicians Olga, Octavio and John.
The Endery is an innovative knitwear project that tackles global waste by using what already exists, creating lifelong knits from deadstock yarn. This particular style is made from the most luxurious 100% pima cotton. Working with deadstock yarn can be a challenging process, and it means there might be slight colour variation in the red lettering in each sweater (as seen in the photo above). Variety is the spice of life!
